As we develop your website, we’ll need some details regarding your domain and DNS (Domain Name System).

Cloudflare

We recommend moving your site’s DNS to Cloudflare for stronger security and faster performance. Cloudflare’s free plan includes DDoS protection, a web application firewall, optional bot blocking, a global CDN, and handy tools like page rules and “always online.” We’ll set up the account, help migrate records, and share ownership of the account with you—see the full guide for setup steps and complete feature details.

You have indicated that you do not want to use Cloudflare as your DNS provider. While we highly recommend that you take advantage of the free service, we do not currently require it for sites on our servers.

As a reminder, this means your site will not have a Content Delivery Network (CDN) so media will load slightly slower and your site will not have the benefit of DDoS protection. If there is a DDoS attack on your domain, we may be forced to disable your site for as long as it takes to mitigate the issue rather than use the security tools Cloudflare provides.

In addition, you and/or your team will be responsible for adding the records we provide to your DNS for the site launch and managing the DNS long-term.
