Accessibility First for Effective Statewide Advocacy
For the Tennessee Disability Coalition, accessibility is not a checklist item. It is foundational to their mission and to the audiences they serve. The website needed to work seamlessly for people with disabilities, advocates, policymakers, and partners alike, many of whom arrive with urgency. Landslide Creative partnered with TDC to create a clearer, more user friendly digital home that brings structure and sustainability to a large and growing collection of programs and resources, improves access to critical information, and gives each department the tools to manage and share their work.
Navigation and Information Architecture Grounded in Strategy
We started with a strategic planning session to clarify TDC’s audiences, priorities, and real-world user journeys, then used that insight to rebuild the site architecture from the ground up. The new navigation organizes content around clear programs and policy areas, with intuitive pathways to subpages that were previously buried or hard to reach.
The new structure helps visitors move directly to what matters to them while reinforcing TDC’s credibility. Just as importantly, it supports the internal team. Each department can now manage its own content and materials within a shared, consistent framework, reducing friction and simplifying day-to-day upkeep. The navigation system now feels calmer and more predictable for users and more sustainable for the organization as it grows.
Centralized Resource Library for Improved Access
The Tennessee Disability Coalition has an extensive collection of valuable resources, but they were scattered across the site in inconsistent formats, making them difficult to find and hard to maintain.
Landslide Creative designed a centralized resource library to accommodate documents, links, videos, and other materials in one organized, searchable system, categorized by topic and format, for easier discovery. Resources can be surfaced dynamically across relevant program pages, helping users encounter information naturally while exploring the site.
Staff can update or add resources once and have those changes reflected wherever the content appears. This approach improves accuracy, reduces duplication, and gives TDC a sustainable way to manage and grow their resource offerings over time.
Additional Features to Support Ongoing Engagement
The site includes a set of practical features designed to support TDC’s day-to-day work and keep the content fresh and relevant for returning visitors. TDC has the flexibility to adapt the site as programs and needs evolve.
Event Calendar
A centralized calendar makes it easy to share upcoming events, trainings, and advocacy opportunities, with clear details and automatic archiving as events pass.
News & Updates
News, announcements, and policy updates live in a single stream, organized with categories so visitors can quickly scan what’s new or dive deeper when needed.
Members-Only Access
A password-protected page gives member organizations a place to access internal resources, materials, and information without cluttering the public site.
Easy Content Editing
TDC’s team can add pages and edit content using PageBuilderLS, our content management tool, for flexibility while maintaining consistency and brand standards across the site.
