Pathfinder Church
With more than a century of history, St. John’s Church, located outside of St. Louis, MO, recently rebranded as Pathfinder Church to better reflect their mission and their community. We designed and built a new website for Pathfinder using their new brand, with the focus on serving both visitors and members as they embark on a new era as a congregation.
Finding the Path
Early on, the communications team at Pathfinder let us know that their LifeJourney process and events are key aspects of their ministry and vision. We used this concept of “finding your path” across both the content and the design. To bring it to life, we visually organized content along a dotted path, making it easy for users to see a clear story and next step.
Photo-Driven Design
Our design makes generous use of photography so that Pathfinder can feature the real people and events that make up their church, as well as landscape imagery that speaks to the emphasis on personal journeys.
Flexible Content
All of the content sections on the site are flexible, to give the communications team control of how information is displayed. User can collapse or expand content based on their interests.
It's in the Details
Small details like the pointed buttons, which resemble a signpost on a hiking trail, tie into the Pathfinder theme and add a bit of fun to the site.
The team at Landslide Creative made us feel confident in the direction from the very first meeting. The LC team was incredibly professional, but also personable and made the experience a joy. They took the time to understand our organization, but also became strong advocates for end users. I couldn't be happier with the result and launch of our new website. Not only does it looks clean and modern, but the user experience flows so much better.
Flexible Design for Diverse Content
Pathfinder Church is very involved in the community, and has many ways for members and guests to get involved through diverse ministries, events and serving opportunities. We organized their ministries and numerous volunteer positions so that users could quickly find what they are looking for.
A flexible and easy-to-use content management system gives the church’s communications team many layout options that can be selected based on the content.
